FAVE PUBS

Carpenters Arms, 68-70 Whitfield Street, London W1T 4EY - lots of interesting lagers and bitters including Fruli, Leffe & Hoegarden on draught - a Castle pub run by M & B
Crown & Two Chairmen, 31 Dean Street Street, London W1D 3RZ - lots of interesting lagers and bitters including Fruli, Leffe & Hoegarden on draught - a Castle pub run by M & B
The Green Man, 36 Riding House Street, London W1W 7EP - billed as a traditional cider house, this pub specialises in cider and they boast 8 different types all of which look good and two of which are 7.3% proof. Yummy. Whilst it does do lager and bitter it does not stock the Fruli & Hoegarden normally associated with the other Castle pubs run by M & B
The Sun in Splendour, 7 Portobello Road, London W11 3DA - lots of interesting lagers and bitters including Fruli, Leffe & Hoegarden on draught - a Castle pub run by M & B
Nanobyte, 183-185 Wardour Street, London, W1V 3FB - a number of bitters and lagers - a good vibe
The Prince Regent, - 71 Marylebone Hight Street, London W1U 5JN - another pub with lots of interesting lagers and bitters including Fruli, Leffe & Hoegarden on draught
De Hems, 11 Macclesfield Street, London W1D 5BW - Dutch pub with lots of great lagers, run by Nicholsons part of M & B
Kings Arms, 25 Roupell Street, London SE1 8TB - A real English pub, it even has a Public Bar
White Hart, Cornwall Road, London, SE1 8TJ - Similar format to the M & B owned The Prince Regent - see above

FAVE RESTAURANTS

Cafe Pacifico, 5 Langley St, Covent Gaden, London - Mexican
Bodean's, 10 Poland St, London, W1F 8PZ - smoke house steak and ribs. Excellent steaks.
Wahaca, 66 Chandos Place, London, WC2N 4HG - Mexican street food that is tasty and very reasonably priced. Usually stacked out with a long wait to get in. Best for mid week afternoons. Very good and a real change from Cafe Pacifico, which we still dearly love as you can at least get in!
Ragam, 57 Cleveland Street, London W1 - Fantastic Southern Indian restaurant where dosai are a speciality and it is cheap!
Imli, 167-168 Wardour St, London W1F 8WR - Indian done in a tapas format. Very good indeed and often offerig a cheap deal on the taster menu but you have to ask for the cut price menu!
Baozi Inn, 25 Newport Court, London WC2H 7JS - Street food of Sichuan and Beijing, the place is busy and the food is good and very well priced. Certainly many different dishes that you do not see in most Chinese resaurants with the Baozi buns being both cheap and tasty!
New Laughing Buddha, 12 Macclesfield Street, London W1D 5BP - Next Door to De Hems, this Chinese 'eat as much as you like' has a difference. Whilst priced at £14.95, the food is cooked to order and comes in restaurant sized portions - tuck in!
Orrery, 55 Marylebone High St, London W1U 5RB - one of the best original Conran restaurants.

Let us know how you enjoyed them.
